“After an unhappy adolescence in Cornwall, I arrived in London for the first time on my 19th birthday, with no job and nowhere to live. I asked a cab driver what he’d suggest and he responded with, “go back home son.” When I told him that wasn’t an option, he took me to a small hotel where his wife was the housekeeper and she let me stay in the linen room, on a camp bed, until I had chance to sort myself out.
Forty years later, I returned to Cornwall, having sold my business, which by then, had a turnover of $1bn! I have created STAND FOR to do just what that couple did for me, namely, give someone a chance.”

STAND FOR is a not for profit organisation which supports young people from 15 to 25, where others have let them down, either through a lack of expertise, desire, budget or sometimes, all three. The STAND FOR mission is to, empower and support young people, to ensure they get their fair chance.
